Health and Wellbeing

St Mary's Kenmure ensures a full examination by a doctor to identify any immediate health needs. Residents also have access to a dentist, chiropodist and optician. The school employs a qualified nurse who co-ordinates all the above services, so health needs are met directly. Members of staff are also trained in emergency first aid.

Wellbeing - Emotional

On admission, our staff undertake a range of assessment tasks to determine young people's needs and to assist young people in a well-judged and well-targeted manner. Additionally, in conjunction with care and programmes teams, psychological services engage in direct involvement with young people when appropriate.

Wellbeing - Spiritual

There is a full time School Chaplain, and a Church of Scotland Chaplain on call to offer support and advice to the young people when required.

St Mary's Kenmure has access to other Chaplains of other world religions as required.
